URGENT ACTION: Attempted extrajudicial killing in Mexico City of Matias Flores, indigenous Nahuatl of Human Rights Committee of the Huasteca and Eastern Sierra (CODHHSO en espanol); Jesus Hernandez Reyes and Rubicel Hernandez Garcia, indigenous Nahuatl, members of the National Socialist Front (FNLS en espanol) for denouncing the extrajudicial killing in Chiapas of Hector Santiz Lopez.
FACTS:
According to members of FNLS:
On November 7th, 2015 at approximately 7:20 am, the indigenous Nahuatl Rubicél Hernández García, 26 years old and member of CODHHSO; Jesús Hernández Reyes, 28 years old and member of FNLS in Michoacán, and indigenous Nahuatl Matías Flores, FNLS member from the Huasteca region, were intercepted in an area known Chinam Pac de Juárez del Frente Guelatao by a man who, without saying a wor, took out a pistol and shot them.
Rubicél Hernández suffered a gunshot wound in the left side of his thorax, Matias Flores in his stomach, and Jesús Hernández on his leg.
They were taken by ambulance to General Hospital Balbuena without the company of third parties.
CONTEXT:
The three injured men are part of the Mexico City Commission speaking out about the extrajudicial killing of Héctor Sántiz López, member of Small Farmer Organization Emiliiano Zapata- FNLS (OCEZ-FNLS), extrajudially killed in Chiapas on September 29 and por whom we sent out an Urgent Action: AU-05-Chiapas/OCEZ-FNLS—02/noviembre/2015
Due to the above-mentioned facts, Comité Cerezo México and the aforementioned organizations ask the Mexican government to:
- Immediately take appropriate measures to guarantee adequate medical attention to Rubicél Hernández, Matías Flores y Jesús Hernández.
- Take necesssary measures to guarantee security, as well as physical and psychological safety to all members of the Mexico City Commission of the FNLS.
- Realize an immediate, exhaustive, and impartial investigation of the facts in the attempted extrajudicial killing of Rubicél Hernández, Matías Flores and Jesús Hernández, and that the results of the investigation be made public and the responsible parties be brought to justice.
- Act in accordance with international human rights accords and agreements signed and ratified by Mexico.

Through whatever mechanisms you use, to plase express your concern to the Mexican Government regarding the seriousnes of this case, and insist that it comply with the above-mentioned demands.
